Manuel Pérez Vila

Manuel Pérez Vila, (Girona, Spain, 3 September 1922 - Caracas, Venezuela, May 8, 1991), was a Spanish born Venezuelan historian and professor. Graduated of Arts from the University of Bordeaux and of professor at the University of Toulouse, arrived in Venezuela in late 1948, starting his activity as researcher. Was part of the modernization of Venezuelan historiography. Introduced at the intellectual work in Venezuela by Pedro Grases, collaborated with Vicente Lecuna around the work of Simón Bolívar.[1]
